GTX Web Design, Inc. offers a variety of technical services including website design services. 'Design' means defining the physical layout, navigation and content of a web site... and working with you to determine what additional Featured Technologies will be used.

web design Website Content
The first step in designing a website is deciding what information to publish. Obviously, name, location and telephone information are the basics. The next question would be: What are you selling? Depending on the products and services, however, the amount of information published can range from basic to a very detailed description of products and services.

Many businesses already have printed marketing and promotion materials. It's simple to glean content directly from this material for use on the website. However, you may decide to include additional information and content. Printed marketing and promotion material is often expensive to produce and, therefore, can be limited in content. With a website, your business can publish as much information as you want!

Content can be as simple as you want it to be. Your website can contain a simple 1-2 pages of description... or it could be comprehensive and include a large amount of content. It's up to you.

web design Layout & Navigation
Once the general content has been determined, the site layout and navigation need to be identified. Layout is simply the physical appearance of the text as it appears on the website. This is similar to a printed brochure. Where do you want the title? What do you want the customer to see immediately upon entering your website. We can greatly assist you choosing a layout suitable to your business and style.

Navigation is unique to the web. If your website contains multiple pages of content, the customer needs a simple and easy means for jumping (navigating) to the different content. This is handled via buttons and navigation bars.

"Good content and effective navigation go hand in hand -- without one, the other is useless". Jean Kaiser (About.com) 5/29/99
